Circa Waves - Young Chasers

Indie rock

This band was formed in Liverpool in May 2013 by frontman Keiran Shuddall (singer, guitarist) after years in a succession of no-hope garage bands. He recruited second guitarist Joe Falconer, bassist Sam Rourke and drummer Sian Plummer.

Their melodic, propulsive rock sound, is heavily inspired by The Strokes.

Their debut single, the double-A-side “Get Away”/”Good for Me,” was released in December 2013 and was almost immediately hailed the “Hottest Record in the World” by taste-making BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe.

“‘Young Chasers’ is one of our most immediate songs, literally” frontman Keiran Shuddall said to NME “It was written in the morning, the demo was recorded in the afternoon, put up on SoundCloud in the evening, and that same night people started playing it on the radio”.

We can’t wait to hear their debut album!
